This training is tailored for individuals who are new to video editing and wish to build a strong foundation in the field. The course covers essential concepts and skills, including visual storytelling, pacing, transitions, continuity, audio synchronization, and basic editing techniques. It also introduces trainees to popular video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and  CapCut.

The course includes hands-on projects that allow participants to apply their learning in real-world editing scenarios, such as creating short-form content, interviews, and basic visual narratives. It also provides career guidance, helping trainees understand various employment options and freelance opportunities in the video editing industry.

The training features implementation assessments, where trainees submit video exercises for evaluation and receive feedback for improvement or qualification. Assignments are given during and after each training component to reinforce learning. This training is delivered through a combination of lecture-based instruction and practical, software-guided editing sessions under the guidance of the trainer


Trainee Qualification Requirements and Prerequisites


  • Basic computer and related literacy: Trainees should be conversant in the fundamental use of a computer, browsing the internet, and familiarity with Google is essential.
  • Good handle of the English language: Good written and spoken English skills are a basic requirement to be eligible for this training.
  • Educational qualification: trainees are required to have at least completed the 10th-grade level of education to be eligible for this certification.

Training Delivery


The training will be delivered using a blended class format, combining:-


  • A lead instructor will introduce key concepts and best practices.
  • Practical exercises to apply learnings utilizing the tools and resources availed by HaHuJobs
  • Practical exercises and take-home assignments

The subject areas of this training introduce trainees to the fundamentals of video editing and related concepts. It explores widely used tools in the industry and their respective purposes, followed by approaches to editing workflows and project execution. The training also highlights career opportunities and guidance in the sector. Each subject area is defined as follows:

  • Editing theory: This component introduces the key principles of video editing, such as visual pacing, continuity, rhythm, and storytelling through cuts and transitions. It also provides a foundational understanding of the relationship between video and audio, including syncing, voice-overs, and background sound design.
  • Video editing tools: This component introduces both professional-grade and beginner-friendly video editing software, mainly Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut. It guides trainees on selecting the right tool based on the type, scope, and goals of the editing project.
  • Audio Editing for Videos: This component teaches students how to edit audio, add sounds, and related material, including transitions, and overlays. Trainees will be able to understand the underlying concepts of audio editing within a video.
  • Video editing projects: This component provides an overview of editing workflows for different media formats, ranging from short-form content for social media (vertical video, reels, etc.) to long-form video like vlogs, documentaries, or interviews. It also includes basic file management, exporting in different resolutions, and delivery for various platforms.
  • Video editing as a career: This component sheds light on the different career paths available after completing the course. It introduces roles such as freelance editor, post-production assistant, content creator, and motion graphics artist. It also offers insights into niches within the field, like editing for YouTube, corporate content, film, or marketing.
