Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Operative Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to surgery (history taking, physical examination).

• Review laboratory and diagnostic results.

• Ensure informed consent is properly obtained.

• Prepare patients medically for surgical procedures.

• Coordinate with anesthetists, nurses, and surgeons.

2. Intra-Operative Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.

• Maintain sterile techniques and OR protocols.

• Monitor patient condition during surgery.

• Provide immediate medical support in case of complications.

3. Post-Operative Care

• Monitor patients in recovery.

• Manage post-operative complications.

• Prescribe medications and follow-up care.

• Document surgical notes and patient progress.

4. Clinical & Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

• Participate in ward rounds and case discussions.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

• Support infection prevention and control practices.

5. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.

• Communicate effectively with patients and families.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) with valid professional license.

• Minimum of 1–3 years of clinical experience (experience in surgical/OR setting is an advantage).

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and emergency care.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
