Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Operative Responsibilities
Assess patients prior to surgery (history taking, physical examination).
Review laboratory and diagnostic results.
Ensure informed consent is properly obtained.
Prepare patients medically for surgical procedures.
Coordinate with anesthetists, nurses, and surgeons.
2. Intra-Operative Responsibilities
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
Maintain sterile techniques and OR protocols.
Monitor patient condition during surgery.
Provide immediate medical support in case of complications.
3. Post-Operative Care
Monitor patients in recovery.
Manage post-operative complications.
Prescribe medications and follow-up care.
Document surgical notes and patient progress.
4. Clinical & Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Participate in ward rounds and case discussions.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Support infection prevention and control practices.
5. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
Communicate effectively with patients and families.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) with valid professional license.
Minimum of 1–3 years of clinical experience (experience in surgical/OR setting is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and emergency care.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare practices and principles.
Show empathy and understanding in patient interactions.
Possess basic understanding of medical terminology.
Exhibit professionalism in all communications and actions.
