Purpose of the Job 

Serves as a strategic financial partner to the commercial, sales, and distribution teams. This role is responsible for driving profitability through advanced pricing frameworks, margin optimization, and robust Volume/Price/Mix analysis. The position oversees the financial governance of trade spend, commercial incentives, and the Total Cost of Distribution (TCD), while leading agile budgeting, forecasting, and risk management cycles to influence data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Pricing & Margin Optimization: Develop and execute pricing decision frameworks, gross margin analyses, and value chain assessments to maximize profitability.

  • Performance Analysis: Lead Volume/Price/Mix analysis to evaluate impacts on Total Cost of Marketing (TCM) and Total Cost of Distribution (TCD).

  • Commercial Initiative Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of trade marketing, promotional spend, and discounts using advanced insights and toolkits (e.g., MSE Toolkit).

  • Market & Elasticity Modeling: Analyze revenue pools, competitor insights, and price/income elasticity by brand, pack, channel, and region.

  • Accurate and timely settlement of commercial spending as per the company policy and procedures.

  •  Sales team incentive, distributors margin distributor transport & other discount Management. 

  • Accurate and timely delivery of on demand reports and analysis to give insight and influence decision making 

  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Embed risk assessment matrices and continuous financial commentary into the integrated business planning cycle.

  • TCD Reporting: Deliver comprehensive Total Cost of Distribution (TCD) analytics, KPI reporting, and variance analysis.

  • Agile Budgeting: Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.

  • Fixed Cost Governance: Manage function, cost center, and General Ledger (GL) splits. Oversee the Departmental Operating Digest (DODS) process for actual vs. budget tracking, accruals, and committed POs.

  • Financial Reconciliations: Deliver accurate Gross Sales and Standard Cost of Production reconciliations at actual sales volume.

Job Requirements

Education

  • BA degree in Accounting and Finance.

Experience

  • 6 years of experience in FMCG industry at least 2 years of supervisory position.
